In the first quarter of 2025, the hack and slash genre on Android in New Zealand showcased varied performances among the top five applications. According to Sensor Tower, these apps demonstrated significant trends in downloads, revenue, and active users.

Solo Leveling:Arise from Netmarble experienced a consistent rise in weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.4K in mid-March. Downloads fluctuated but saw a notable increase towards the end of March, reaching approximately 438 downloads weekly. Active users remained relatively stable with a slight increase from 12.7K to 13.8K over the quarter.

Stick Demon Shadow Fight by Mana Games Studio saw minimal revenue, with a slight uptick to $10 in January. Downloads decreased over the quarter, starting at 135 and closing at 77. Active users showed a decline, starting from 252 and dropping to 89 by the end of March.

Zenless Zone Zero maintained a dynamic revenue pattern, peaking at $1.6K in late January. Download numbers were modest, with a slight increase to 69 in January. The active user base peaked at 1.3K in January but fell to 536 by the end of March.

MARVEL Future Fight, another title from Netmarble, showed a gradual decline in revenue, starting at $887 and closing at $333. Download numbers were steady but low, with a peak of 76 in late March. Active users remained relatively constant, hovering around 1.1K.

Kaz Warrior 2: Warzone & RPG had negligible revenue, with only a slight increase to $4 in February. Downloads and active users both saw a gradual decline, with downloads starting at 78 and ending at 24, while active users decreased from 139 to 82.
